Cooking lessons
I've been neglecting this blog lately so I decided to make a new layout. I'm totally digging the combination of pink and brown right now. Before I thought brown was such a dull color. It still is actually, but add other colors to go with it and tada! Not so dull as before.
Cool! I got to vote in the Italian elections. Never actually voted before...Actually last year, there were also some elections but just for the city officials, but my mom and I both didn't know what it was all about. Everything from the letters to the envelopes were all written in Italian so my dad had to help us. Anyhoo, I voted for Berlusconi's party. Haha! Since he's the only one I know and hear about. Not much of a good voter am I? The other parties were all extreme left or extreme right. I still don't get the politics of that country though. *shrugs*
Nothing much is happening with my life lately, except maybe for the fact that I'm happy happy happy;p Haha! But let's see...hmmm...my mom's teaching me how to cook. For your information, I know how to cook, say, dishes that you can count on your fingers, haha! But I am improving. Just today, she taught me how to cook risotto. It's an Italian rice dish which consists of, of course rice, broth, herbs and anything you want to add may it be chicken, mushroom or cheese. It's not just any rice, but arborio rice. It is the best for this dish since it has bigger grains, and is not as sticky as ordinary ones. Then I made some bread. Wow. So tiring! You have to massage the dough so much...my arm felt like it would come off, but of course every now and then my mom had to take over. Then tomorrow, I'll be making some ravioli!! Yum!!
I'm downloading season 2 and season 3 of One Tree Hill right now. Ever since Sta lent me season 1's dvds, I've been so hooked up to it. I couldn't help it. I kept seeing myself over and over.
I'm dreading Monday. It's the day we get our confounded grades! I really have no idea how bad (or wishful thinking, how good) I did. Tsss...But, I found out long ago that I didn't care anymore. I mean, we go to school to learn, not to get As or Bs or any other letter.
I FINALLY saw Rent. Nope, not the musical, but the movie. I know, I am such a loser. I haven't seen any of the greatest Broadway shows. I suck. Before I die, I promise, I have to see them. Anyone treating? Haha, kidding :D I miss watching plays.
Too bad Bucky had to go. I prefer Ace out. Tss! I don't know...he really doesn't have much of a voice though. Anyway, who cares! I'm rooting for Elliot and Chris anyway!! :D
A funny thing happened the other day when my parents and I went out. I was wearing my blue green shirt, whose color is now fading because of constant wear and to pair with that, my ballet flats of the same color. I was waiting for my parents outside the money exchange booth when this guy went out with a woman. Then he glanced at my shoes and he commented how lovely it was and even pointed it out to his companion. Then he looked at me and said, nice shoes. Very nice blah blah blah. Haha, wala lang. It's nice to be complimented every now and then even about the most simplest and even about material things.
I soooo love shopping!!! I love ZARA!!! Hahaha! But seriously, their Bermuda shorts are a rip-off especially when you know you can buy them for cheaper prices at bazaars/tiangges. That didn't stop me from buying though. Haha! And there was this cute shirt that I really loved!! It had a Scooby-Doo print on it! Aaawww!!! But...well...I didn't buy it even though I so wanted to.
