Break from philo

Nothing much happened today. I attended my theo class, and it was interesting as usual. For Stat, we had to endure listening to him and copying notes without the lights on. For some reason, the lights wouldn't switch on but there was air-conditioning. Sayang Debby, you didn't attend! Sayang yung opportunity!!! Diba Diane???

I'm supposed to be reading Herakleitos but my mind gave up and shouted, break!!! It's nice that I'm reading it again but waaah! It's so confusing...Please God help me with my Philo exam.

*sigh* I so wanted to watch the movie tomorrow but oh well. Mabait ako eh. I think I'm too kind. Wooshoo! Panlabas lang yan pero deep inside...Oo na.

Sta didn't go to school due to her "knee injury" (hehehe, just kidding) so my day was fairly quiet. I got to talk to Viva though and found out that PrP's on SALE! Well, on selected malls anyway, and only on selected items. But ack!!! Gold pointy flats!!! I ssoooooo wanna shop right now. Nine West's also on sale, but well...they're selling old stocks so not much excitement there.

I'm craving for chocolate. I saw the ad of Kitkat and now I'm craving for it...Too bad I can't eat chocolates coz I still have a slight cough. But I need it...

Speaking of sick...I have to get the CT scan results from the hospital on Tuesday. Nope, no need to cut coz I can go there in the afternoon.

Oh yeah, in Merville, Mama and Papa are left alone coz Ate's here for her medical check-up. I wish I was there with them. And Papa's leaving again. I'm not sure if it's at the end of the month or early August, but it's scary coz he's having high blood lately. Takte. I will not get emotional. And Ate naman, she's scared that she's gonna die soon. The common problem Filipinos all have: lack of money. She needs money for her operation, 60K.

I started reading the article for theology which is an excerpt from Scott Peck's The Road Less Traveled. Very interesting.

I didn't play volleyball today. I was just an audience. Why didn't they allow 4 guys to play? Unfair.

While waiting for Sta who was looking for her knee pads, I was watching the IAC Futsal. It was such a violent game! Hardcore man. And they're playing on concrete floor. Imagine the bruises and scars you'll get. But...yeah, I remembered playing some football in AC and we were playing in the Assumpta Court. The smaller the court, the more violent and brutal the game will be. After the short game, all of us had bruises and scratches. During the Intrams itself was worse! BUT the worst game of all was bataille!! I remember Rica being left alone against 2 tall juniors. Obviously they won. Then one of them had to come over to our side and say sorry to Rica. *sigh* I suddenly missed AC.

Oh yeah! I got to catch up on the gossip last Saturday care of Erika. You know how she is. Hmmm...Hanger and Nukum got married and now they have 2 kids. They both applied to work in AC again and they both got the job! So the couple's in AC if you want to see them. Sir Ramos is back. I'm not sure if he's in AC again but I saw him walking with one of the admin ladies towards San Lo. Ms. Vel's now working in St. Scho. SJ's the same. She has 2 kids na din. Oasis is still the same quiet absent-minded self. Haha! AC College...culture shock! If I go there, I'm gonna bring someone perfectly STRAIGHT! Mahirap na. Eeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww.

In pain

My body is in pain right now. My arms feel like lead, and my shoulders feel like they hit something big, hard. All because of volleyball. I haven't played this sport for months or I haven't played it properly for a year now. As much as it's hard to admit, I now suck at it. My services are still fast and straight but too low; when I receive the ball, they now go to different places except the team in front of us. My assists are still the same, but overall I suck big time! The sport itself, I love it. But you see, I just get so conscious playing with people I barely know, although the warm up game we had before the real game was quite okay. Anyway, Team Team, yes, that's the name of our team, lost to Cersa but the point is we had fun.

Theo class was interesting and very timely. It really is so hard to believe that he's a priest. However, priests nowadays are divided into three kinds: conservative, moderate and liberal. I guess we just got used to conservative priests. He is 100% a liberal priest. We finished with sin and masturbation, and we are now tackling discernment and falling in love. There are three stages and ahaha! Oo na, I'm at the second stage. Ang gulo na nga ng sulat ko eh, lalo pang nagulo. Coz Sta couldn't help but bump my right arm. She couldn't control it daw. Wooshoo! Patama talaga.

For stat, wow, I actually listened and even wrote decent notes. New life? Far from it.

Next week, we would be having make-up classes for History and Stat. I hope none of the schedules clashes. I don't want to miss any of those.

Group meeting for History on Saturday, but I can't go because of the Speed GA so I have to work twice as hard and finish it by Friday so I can give my research work to Pao. Then another meeting sometime this week for the 45th Anniversary. I like being busy. And kill me yes, but I miss it. Not the stress but the workload. I'm not complaining; I'm happy right now because so far I have a light load.

Seeing other people happy is a good thing, especially if you're the cause of it, but the question is, am I happy??? I'm hard to please daw...is that true??

Hay naku, naiinis ako sa mga walang magawa sa buhay and start rumors and issues. Ang bitter niya ah. Takte talaga. Why are there people like that? They meddle in other people's lives. Is that how boring and bland their lie is that they have to do that to spice up their life?

I feel so weird today. Can it be because of the weather?

When I woke, I looked out my window and immediately didn't feel like going to school. Who wouldn't be intimidated by the massive low-lying gray clouds? I listened eagerly to the radio waiting for their announcement on the suspension of classes but sadly, none. *sigh* As much as I didn't feel like going to school, I couldn't miss Sir Dave's class. And sure enough, I'm glad I didn't cut it. It was just so entertaining haha! I love his class!

830. I went to the lib with AC to read up on philo. It's all confusing. Especially if you read it in one go. @_@

Ate lunch with Mars and Viva. I have no explanation for the craziness that ensues when Mars and I are together. I don't get it. Why do we get so hyper??? We went to Mind Movers to buy Mankiw's macro book and there was this kid named Cody. He was so cute. 3 yrs old and Mars interviewed him. Then she asked him, "Am I pretty?" What did he answer? "No, you're not pretty." Hahaha! Kawawa ka naman :p

Fortunately (or unfortunately?) classes from 1230 onwards was cancelled. Ha! So I went with Migs (or I guess forced him to stay with me) to the caf and well, he said something that made me realize, "you're right!" Why does it take someone like him to cast a light to my muddled thoughts? Then we went to mvp where I had a meeting with Audz about the 45th Anniv.

Ang gastos ko!! I spent all my allowance today. My plan to save failed. Wah! It's because Mango and Zara's still on sale. Hay. Have to stop buying clothes. Restrain me! Hay. But I'm the only one who can really change it.

Oh yeah, I was listening to the radio this morning and I was tuned in on rx 93.1. Their top ten for today was "I wish I could change..." Tama ba? Something like that. There were several entries about changing people. Wala lang. As much as we want to or as much as we feel they should, we can't force them to.

I don't know if I should be sad or annoyed. I guess a little of both. That reasoning is just really...off. I don't like it at all. Nakakainis siya actually.

Cutting classes...again

This day was just blah. I don't know how to describe it. I didn't attend class today. I just had one class anyway. Two cuts for theo! Went to the doctor again, listened to a litany of advice then went out of the building with relief. We ate at Java Man in Powerbooks. Then went around Glorietta for a while.

At least my temper was on hold today unlike yesterday. These days, people have knack for pissing me off.

Mcdo lunch again tomorrow. Just this once I'll eat junk again. Hmm...I'll ask kaya Ian to teach me philo din haha! Since I cut philo last Monday, I have to keep up with the readings or at least with the lesson. I finished reading 17 pages out of 47. 30 more!!

S-A-L-E & bored

There's nothing more exhilarating than seeing my favorite word plastered on walls or on display windows: S-A-L-E. The anticipation of going into a shop and trying on something that catches your eye, then buying it soon after gives a feeling of achievement and happiness. But when the opposite happens, a downward slope. ZARA and Mango, two of the top shops (the first being Top Shop...hehe) that I love going to. Oh I may not buy every time I go in, but seeing the new collection or the new clothes that weren't there last week leaves a smile that lasts for hours. Of course when I have it in my hands and in my closet, the smile lasts for days. Haha! Anyway, last week I shopped at Mango and today at ZARA. Whee! But it's sooooooooo bitin! Shop within an hour? I wasn't even halfway done browsing. *sigh* I didn't get to buy the clogs that I didn't let go for some time. Turns out that some nail was out in the open. Talk about sad, depressed and annoyed at the same time. So I asked the attendant if they have another pair and while she was asking through her walkie-talkie, I kept praying that they had it, but if not, then it's not the pair for me. Oh well, turned out to be the latter. How uncool is that? But, sad as I was, it was okay. Not everything we want we can have right? I just really needed a pair of sandals in exchange for the slippers I keep on wearing. I'm thinking of something ladylike, not casual like flip flops. I need new shoes...: ' (
